Scaling a Pyramid documents the process, imagery, and evolution of Jonathan Latiano’s multidisciplinary art project of the same name. Blending photography, sculpture, and performance, the project investigates the subjective nature of scale through a deceptively simple conceptual prompt: build a sandcastle, then photograph every grain of sand it contains.
What begins as a straightforward idea unfolds into a meditation on labor, perception, and our place within the vast complexity of the natural world.
